Classroom Culture Fall 2011

Weeks 1& 2
Mini Projects: Materials Bag & Sketch Books
Main Projects: Monster Character Development

Weeks 3 & 4

Main Projects: Monster Environment (where do they live, what do they eat?)

Weeks 5 & 6
Mini Projects:
Main Projects: Monster Friends & Family

Weeks 7 & 8
Mini Projects:
Main Projects: Vocation & Community

Rules
Respect Self, Others & Environment
G,M,N -Make 2 signs that are monster themed
L&K -Introduce Rules Week 1

Use of Space
Kids work space- U Shape of Tables with all eyes on front. When you walk around, create an environment where you can always see the kids. 
Mini Project supplies- On table by door, (older kids room along wall, younger kids room greets kids)
Main Project supplies- Bags w/names on Window Sil
Exemplar Table- Set in front center of U shaped tables
Clean Up Area- happens on mini project table. Switch happens while kids are working on main project.
Art work display- Put up all work that has been accomplished so far (include your own exemplars with quick description).

Transitions
-See and fill out Para-Educator Time Line
-Music may transition times (remember to give a 5 minute heads up for when music will be turned off and on).
